Dear all,

Welcome to our long awaited dream: Naval Multispeciality Hospital that has just opened its doors to Jalgaon and has ushered in best healthcare services in the region.

Every big achievement has several small steps of courage, will and patience associated with it. Today, I wish to share with you our story of changing our dream into reality. With the advice and support of our family, I began my professional career as an obstetrician and gynaecologist in Jalgaon on October 20 1978. Although our unit, was a small 7 bedded set up, it was very well equipped.

Our first milestone then was the electronic fetal doppler, painless delivery facility and gynaecological laparoscopy that was introduced by us for the very first time in Jalgaon. Our major hurdle through this, however, was lack of enough facilities. We had no blood bank, anaesthesiologists, medical gases and ambulances.

We had to manage even critical emergencies with limited resources. So much so that at the time of major blood transfusion emergencies, we (hospital staff, myself, Dr. Renu, Dr. M. B. Naval, Sandeep Naval and all family members) opted to donate blood for the patients to save them. I am fortunate to have donated my blood for fifty times till date and the 51st time now at the inauguration of the Naval Multi Speciality Hospital.

Our next leap was In February 1982 when we got a 22 bedded hospital at J.M.P.Market. In January 1994, we shifted to a 30 bedded hospital near Bhasker Market, M.J. College Road, Jalgaon. In 1998 we stepped into operative gynaecological laparoscopy & 1st Test tube Baby Center of Jalgaon was opened by us.

In 2015-16 Dr. Rucha & Dr Suyash joined us. Since both of them possessed high skills & qualifications we made yet another change. We shifted our hospital to Ring Road area and reconstructed this hospital as Naval Multi Speciality Hospital to accommodate many specialities to form a team so that we could give our best for the cause.

Also, with the expertise of Dr Suyash Naval, we pioneered neuropelvology and brought this concept in practice for the first time with this new hospital. Our new unit is NABH accredited and we also have an upgraded Test Tube Baby Centre under ICMR guidelines, laparoscopy and endoscopy department.

I’d also like to thank our mentors Dr. Sudhakar S. Naval, Dr. Mrs. Leelavati Naval and Dr. M. B. Naval and all seniors of our family who boosted us and guided us throughout. Today, we are off to a new start with this guidance and love and blessings of all our patients.

About Naval Hospital Journey

From our humble beginnings in 1978 to 2018, our journey has been an experience in itself and from a mere seven bedded unit, we are now off to revolutionizing the field of surgery with our new multispeciality hospital. It’s our passion to keep ourselves updated with time and extend our unending contribution to medical faculty and provide the best healthcare services to patients across Khandesh. We are also the first of its kind to introduce neuropelvology in Khandesh and in India as a whole.
