It is a fertility process of placing sperm inside the uterus to facilitate fertilization and pregnancy. The procedure basically aims at increasing the number of sperms that reach the fallopian tube and thereby increase the chances of pregnancy. We carry out intrauterine insemination in cases where a woman’s immune system denies accepting the sperms of the partner, in women who are suffering from cervical our uterine abnormalities or sometimes also in cases where the male counterpart is suffering from gynecological problems. Our expert obstetricians and IVF specialists begin by understanding the case history of the patient or the couple and suggest the most appropriate method of conception accordingly.
At Lifescope, we have the best medical facilities, trusted doctors and cooperative staff that relentlessly strives to keep you hale and hearty.
IVF is our major segment and we take pride in being Khandesh’s first full fledged IVF centre. Why us?
IntraUterine insemination is a less invasive treatment to boost the sperms to make it to the ovaries and is most commonly used in cases of low sperm count or low mobility of sperms but it can also be a good option in cases of unexplained infertility, hostile cervical condition or problems with ejaculation. It is however, not recommended for women suffering from fallopian tube disorders or pelvic infections.
The procedure is usually performed at the time of ovulation. As compared to IVF, chances of positive pregnancy are lesser in this case. A course of medicines is generally prescribed following the procedure to ensure healthy growth of the egg and further increase chances of conception. It can also be used in conjunction with controlled ovarian hyperstimulation especially in women who have late maternal age. A double insemination also increases chances of pregnancy by decreasing the risk of missing the fertile window period during ovulation.
